Toni Ponder welcomed as Director of Province Administration

The Province of Mid-North America welcomes Antonia “Toni” Ponder as Director of Province Administration/General Counsel. In this new role, Toni engages directly with the Province Leader Madeleine Munday, RGS, and the Province Leadership Team. She also works directly with the Province Administration Staff, Sister and Lay ­Partners-in-Mission, and ministries to actively implement the Province’s core values and support the mission of the Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd. Day to day, she has responsibility for staffing, operations, human resources, and financial functions of the Province.

Toni has worked in leadership positions in the religious nonprofit sector since 2011 and brings significant experience to the Province. Most recently, she held a similar role for a women’s religious congregation based in St. Louis, the Society of the Sacred Heart USC Province, as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. She also worked for the Archdiocese of St. Louis as a major gifts officer for Catholic schools in the City of St. Louis.

A St. Louis native, Toni graduated from Rosati-Kain, an all-girls Catholic high school. She received her bachelor’s and law degrees from Saint Louis University, a private Jesuit research university with campuses in St. Louis, Missouri, and Madrid, Spain.

Toni lives with her husband Mark and their children Jack (19), Heidi, (19), and Charlize (17), as well as their black Labrador Retrievers Laila and Hershel.
